Emsie de Klerk is a South African trained and qualified Occupational Therapist. She is the owner and senior therapist at EP-OT.

Graduating in 1995, Emsie has worked in South Africa, Ireland and is now living and working in Adelaide, South Australia.

With over 25 years experience as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist, her passion still lies with babies and young children. She believes in making life simpler for parents and more enjoyable for young ones.

Emsie has worked in multiple settings including education, health, not-for profit, private practice and disability services.

EP-OT provides individual, community based Occupational Therapy for kids in their local surroundings. We service self and plan managed NDIS participants in the Eastern suburbs of Adelaide.

Pediatric Occupational Therapy Sessions can be run at home, school, kindy, or daycare.

Therapy outcomes are more successful with parent involvement in sessions and makes for a stronger attachment and easier carry over practice.

What we do

Early occupational therapy intervention is critical for children in order to develop the skills necessary for future success in activities of daily living (ADL’s), Fine and Gross motor development, sensory development and play. Therefor, the earlier a child receives the help they need, the better their developmental outcomes will be.

We work with children with a variety of problems and diagnosis including developmental delay, Sensory problems, self regulation difficulties, ADHD/ADD and ASD.

We believe that each child is an individual living inside a family and interprets life in their own unique way.

We help parents to enjoy the ride on the development rollercoaster with their children while being the best possible parents that they already have the potential to be.
